Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards winner Angela Bohlke took her famous fox shot at the Yellowstone National Park, and this is where she started taking her first photos in the young age. Angela’s father has been an enormous fan of the Park, enjoying photographing and filming the wildlife there. Angela followed her dad and soon started watching animals and photographing them with her camera too.

Angela’s award winning fox became a worldwide hit at the end of 2016. However, the world enjoys only one photo (the last from the tree), but we have a pleasure to see the whole action collage from Angela Bohlke’s Facebook page.

The best and most regular travel partner in Angela’s expeditions is Whitley – a gorgeous black dog. Whitney has been the first Angela’s animal model before she got to take photos of bigger wildlife. The dog is a dream of any wildlife photographer, as she patiently waits in the car until Angela finishes her outdoor animal shooting.

Animals, interacting with each other, is one of the favorite Angela’s topics. Like this two expressive funny grizzly bears, ready for a new fun game.

Another cute topic of hers is napping animals. Although we say that it is not polite to take photos of sleeping people, it works vice versa with animals. Angela believes that in those shots she most likely isn't disturbing the wildlife by the human presence.

Wild animals are not only cute but also dangerous. The most frightening situation happened to Angela, while she was watching a grizzly bear. The female had disappeared for a while into the woods, so the photographer decided to sit and wait, expecting the bear to come from the same spot. And yes, after an hour and a half the bear finally appeared but in a different and MUCH closer spot than Angela had anticipated. An important reminder of the wildlife photographer is to always be aware of your surroundings.

Sometimes you have to spend hours and hours waiting for an animal and expecting a good shot, and sometimes it just happens, so you better be always ready for your perfect moose shot.
